North Shore Dining

Part of a full-home design on the North Shore, where every room was pulled back toward the trees outside.

The brief

A heavy, formal dining room the family avoided. They wanted a table used on weeknights, not just at Christmas.

What we did

Walls went white, the carpet came out, and a round pale-oak table replaced the old rectangle. Six blue upholstered chairs carry the colour of the water beyond the windows.
